Chimirec is a French family-owned group established in 1958, specializing in waste collection and reprocessing. Our partnership with Chimirec originated from a previous collaboration on the valorization of hazardous waste in ports. The data collected by Chimirec was reused by the Blue Expedition to produce a guide on improving waste sorting practices in ports. Port Navy Service is a dry marina located in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône (13), where the Blue Expedition sailboat has been stationed for over 6 years. The teams at Port Navy Service are committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy and have taken voluntary steps towards obtaining the European Clean Port Certification, among others. The members of the Blue Expedition had the opportunity to collaborate with the port teams to raise awareness among users about better waste sorting practices.
